Whee... Never thought i will open another blog again, this time under the request of my beloved english teacher... Anyway as u can see, this blog is to write out my own feelings towards our school novel "The Pearl", though i seriously have none, but still this blog is created for this purpose. WHY am i crapping here is seriously because i still have no idea what should i write about..
Anyway... This week we should write about our comments towards the first chapter of The Pearl... So... I should start on the summary first??
The starting of the novel is very boring (just like any other novels), but the description is quite ok... Then it continued to be boring... Mentioned the morning scenery (boring). Mentioned the Songs (boring-er).. Mentioned a lot of animals (not interested).. Mentioned Kino and Juana communicating without talking (interestng.. psychic??).. such and such.
The interesting part only started on page 4 (should get a applause for setting to the point after wasting only three page) where the scorpion arrived. Then Kino and Juana panicked, Kino trying to get to the scorpion while Juana is trying to protect the baby with ancient magic.. (probably trying to turn the scorpion into a chicken =.=) Its just so sad it happened when Coyotitio shook the rope and cause the scorpion to fell and sting him(or her, please leave comments to tell me, or simply in school).. Then Kino brutally killed the scorpion while Juana tries to treat the baby.. such and such.
Soon the whole village know about the incident... Then they are SO shocked when Juana asked for the doctor (clearly by saying the sentence"would not come" three times) But still Juana cares so much for their child n wanted to see the doctor herself.. Touching... Anyway they started their journey... Then after alot of description which i don't really bother.. They are there~ So they asked for the doctor but unfortunately the (stupid fat ugly useless) doctor (who wears a dressing gown... aiks) don't even care about their baby because they are poor... So the servant comes up with a lie (which is obvious) and close the door... That part Kino is so furious he slam the gate till he bleed.. and thats sad.. (although i know Kino is loving and is angry at the doctor n letting go the frustration is good for health... slamming your fist at the gates is considerally stupid.. but i will just take it as what a father should do)
And thats all for Chapter 1 ~~ Wootz.. So my overall feelings is that i feel sad that Coyotito got stung and couldn't get treatment from the doctor. This happens in reality as well and this proves that the world is cruel.. (If i never write the summary, my blog will only consist of this two or three sentences ==) Ok, that's all about what I have to say.. I hope this is what teacher wanted and by writting out that bunch of lame summary proves that i did alot of work~ Signing out~
